The New York Yankees have wrapped up their 2024 season, and it's been a year of ups and downs for some of their key players. Jameson Schmidt led the team in starts and innings pitched, with an impressive 2.85 ERA when healthy. However, he also struggled with consistency in October, finishing with an 8.79 ERA in his last three outings. Meanwhile, Luis Cortes had a strong rookie year, but will be remembered for the ill-fated pitch that led to a grand slam in Game 1 of the World Series. Marcus Stroman was another consistent starter, but couldn't crack the postseason rotation. Closer Clay Holmes bounced back from a slump to dominate in October, while reliever Michael King showed promise as a lockdown closer.
