You must have been drinking some strong coffee. Mine doesn't have any discernable effect, even by the liter, but my MIL has a slower machine and one small cup totally wires me up.

I would say that I drank strong coffee. And in large quantities. I didn't have noticed any effect either. I also drank coffee late into the evening. The headache only came after I gave up coffee. This is probably a consequence of the caffeine withdrawal. I was expecting not to get going in the morning without coffee. But that's not the case. I miss the ritual. The taste. The smell. I substitute decaf or Landkaffee, sometimes, or herbal tea with milk. What I drink in the morning doesn't seem to make any difference, so long as it's warm and a bit creamy.

That's what I was hoping for. But I don't like herbal tea. So now I drink a glass of lukewarm water with a little salt and lemon. Sometimes I make myself a smoothie afterwards. Let's see. I'm thinking about giving up coffee completely. To make the cup of coffee something special
