April's donation via nostr.gives.africa to Helpers Social Development Foundation in Nigeria for roughly 60,000 sats.

Additionally, we have decided to shut down this relay at the end of the month as we are coming no where close to being able to cover the expenses after the 70% donation. Thanks to everyone who has connected. While small, our collective donations will certainly make a difference in some people's lives. And that is what matters. 💜

A noble attempt at a different paid relay model.

Always sad to see builders have to close things down but I’m hopeful we’re going to see hundreds if not thousands of corpses of unsuccessful nostr projects - not every idea is going to work for a multitude of reasons, but trying is what drives us forward.

It is sad to see these projects shut down. I think in the long term most paid relays will need to move to either a recurring subscription model or a pay per event type model to remain viable.
