Good Day Jeff 😊 🫶. Was thinkin🤔bout this note.. sometimes have blind spot on how my thoughts come across, so jus wanted establish that it wasnt meant in negative connotation feedback. Not at all. Positive vibes💜🫶🧡& love. More of a ‘hey, there may be some validity to the comment in that news article’, cause I had those same feelings as new user who’s not a dev/computer person when I started. Users i helped onboard to nostr all verbalized same thing; their words, & I quote “it’s only coin talk”, & they all left platform. So it does seem to be common theme on Nostr entry to platform. — With that being said.. & I think this speaks to “how long” a user stays on the platform, the Nostr experience & community vibe can be “shaped” by the users one chooses to follow, chat with, ⚡️ , etc. But.. newbies may be exiting platform *before they can cultivate that vibe/atmosphere/circuit. This is jus me sharing background on different sector of users.

Aww thank you for the thoughtful reply. I actually think I was also hasty in my earlier reply. I read 2M as 2 minutes. Reading now I think?? You meant 2 months? But your point about new users being confused or turned off by coin talk is super valid. It was something that was talked about a lot at nostrica. How important it is to get the community beyond just bitcoiners.

I’m any case I have nothing but warm fuzzies for everyone here on Nostr (and the people who tried and will be back in the future). It’s exactly this sort of thoughtfulness that makes it unbeatable! 💜

Yes, correct, I meant say 2 months ive been user.

I followed & watched CR Nostrica from home live stream. I am self aware enough to kno that my thoughts are maybe not what some ppl want to hear, but I only verbalize as to show that “hey I really like it here, ive meet so many amazing people that i nvr likely would have formed connections w in other places, & here’s my thoughts on what may prevent newbies from sticking around”.

Not a smart computer person, like so many of you are, yall are genius in level I don’t understand, n wish I could do the amazing things that you all do. *And thank you so much for for teaching newbies like me w manuals to read & learn*. I can’t contribute tech wise, it’s over my 🪖, so instead I offer what I have, which is mostly few ferret pics & rlly positive vibes, to try to provide warm, friendly, ⚡️ action to other pleb frens, to help brings kindness & fun conversation to other users to 😀 smile.
