Because that's exactly what I never liked about it - a quick surface level read (not by you, by others; it is after all a "manifesto" so intended for wide readership) results in something I strongly dislike - an implicit, even if erroneous, *normative* distinction.

Secrecy is at the very core of everything that comes out of the cypherpunk philosophy.
