It really is. There is something in the design of Nostr that encourages self-regulation/moderation. Maybe it’s the fact that you can’t delete. Maybe it’s the lack of algorithm suppressing/boosting certain ideas and people. Idk. But it feels different.

My moneys on the algo. Everything is happening real time and there’s no algo to push divisive content to the top of your feed. Actually it’s not even a feed, it’s a timeline.
Therefore notes come and go, but if it’s a good idea, it will permeate the users thoughts and will bubble up again in due time. This way only good ideas permeate and not divisive click bait.
