Damn. I'm checking out the use and that could be my thing now. Idk if it's the diet or coming solstice, but I developed like three different rashes in last month and feel some detox is happening. Now that burned throat without any cause is also weird.π€ This could help on it all, right?
Acid reflux can literally burn your throat without you feeling it or even knowing you had acid reflux.
My vocal chords were paralyzed for 8 months one year, a whole year the second year and 4 months the third time.
When the throat is burned and inflammation around it happens, the chords stopped working.
I had to take a lot of slippery elm dulciments which are no longer available in the US. I also had a lot of bullion with cayenne pepper, lemon & ginger, lowered my coffee consumption and added apple cider vinegar to my daily consumption. I had to learn to speak again. I needed speech therapy for a whole year and a half to be able to emit sound again.
I can't say whether you'd have GERD or acid reflux because IDK that, but I had never felt the acid at all. That is because our larynx & esophagus are coated with mucus which is there to protect us from any acid and other things. So when we DO feel it, that is because it was so strong it burned past that point.
I had to have GE specialist (Gastroenterologist) ram a scope down my throat, damage my esophagus because of how tight it was to support the size of the damn thing, to learn I had acid reflux.
Which is NOT for having too much acid, but less acid in my diet and it also depends too on the quality of such acid (hence the lowering the coffee).
Just my experience.
It did affect my skin as well, but as I said, I can't say that is what is causing you to struggle with why your throat is burned.
There is another type of scope which is less invasive and normally done by speech pathologist. They simple look down in your mouth with a device that does not go far down your throat. I can't remember the name of it though.
That study/test confirmed the damage the GE had found. I was being taught sign language because they did not know if I would ever be able to speak again.
I now work on the damn phones all day, so ... I wonder... maybe I should have pretended not to have gained my voice back???
No...
It was one of the hardest things to have gone through.
I may be damaged goods with how abusive my job is, but I could never pretend to have no voice.
