AI designing 3D models is a logical step. After a lot of hillarious failiures (of a design) it will get as good as humans. And then it gets better. Insanely good stuff is in the pipeline, no doubt about that.

It’s already way past that.
For example, it knows what a crankshaft is and can write FreeCAD code that produces a crankshaft.
It can produce manufacturing drawings.
I’ve held design reviews with it, and it’s corrected the design.
It’s absurd.

FreeCAD is also a bit less user friendly than autodesk stuff, while still very powerful, AI could really help with that, I imagine. But it seems like the user friendly interface for AI aided CAD is going to be less important from now on.
Also im looking forward what will AI bring to Blender. Being very open and popular platform, there is a big potential there.
