I’ve heard of chronic irritation causing cancerous growth acceleration, and certainly there are long term viral infections like HPV, the vast majority of viruses are acute infections with binary outcomes; either your immune system conquers the viral infection or you die. The tongue and throat are more susceptible to environmental factors like low grade infections isolated from the mainstream immune function. Is your oral hygiene good? I’m not trying to be accusatory, I’m genuinely curious as usually there is a clear vector for cancer related disease.
