I think we need to change from push notifications to, wait for it, zap notifications.

If an app wants to send you a push, it has to zap you.

I don't want any push notifications. Ever.

A silent counter somewhere, sure.

A special attention grabbing silent counter for zaps, yes.

Let me fav some loved ones that can always reach me at low cost with some noise, yes.

That shall be also an option, I fully agree!

What I am favoring here is raising the bar for "annoying" people with push notifications.
