Oh my, I didn't know that happened to you. There's nothing more frustrating and demoralizing than not being fairly rewarded for one's contributions. More than the amount of money (the amount is important too!), everyone has a basic human need to have their work recognized, and numbers provide an objective way to measure that anyway.

However, there are too many thieves and free riders in the process. There are also predators who see nice people as easy prey rather than treating them better. I've learned that people who are inherently unable to do evil must at least be firm in self-protection.

You probably don't know how much I've detested and despised Ev for the past 10 years. When personal feelings are involved, my judgment of people fails (for example, I tend to be blind when I fall in love, and I was so loyal to my friends that I used to neglect taking care of myself😑), but in objective situations (like the Ev case), I can distinguish scammers and evil people as if I have a scouter of Dragon Ball. I recognized Ev as a sob at first sight.

I haven't watched the full documentary yet, but the downfall of Twitter can be traced back to Ev. He took control of substantial benefits including stock shares, played tricks on the board, and constantly hindered Jack from having enough authority as CEO (even when he returned in 2015). While Ev took no responsibility and contributed nothing that benefited the company, he was jealous of Jack's reputation and only sought opportunities to sell Medium to Twitter at a high price.. Ev is an extremely evil person.

Jack should be separately criticized for turning the company into a political tool, swayed by far-left employees, activists, and politicians, despite the sincere advice of some loyal supporters. (I think he has already been sufficiently criticized, tho. Looking at the current state of Xitter, the time when Jack was CEO seems normal instead.)

But actually, Jack was already exhausted because of Ev before Twitter became politically biased, and he had almost no real authority to correct it.
