shouldn't need to worry about people anon zapping themselves to boost numbers because they can already create alt npubs and do the same.

Its a feature. Either way, someone has to spend sats. Numbers won’t lie. Nobody can print #Bitcoin.
I think Snort got this feature, but it doesn't work always... I think it's because of the wallets NIP-57 compatibility

Receiving sats for content certainly democratizes the creation of businesses, doesn't it. Literally every individual in the world has the same opportunity to create.

personally am comfortable with the zap feature being utilized as such, especially considering there's always the mute feature!
