Yes, there will probably be a rate cut right before the election to artificially pump the stock markets. That way all the incumbents can say “look! What we’re doing is working.” Party doesn’t matter, affiliation doesn’t matter, holding on to power is what’s important.

The inflation fallout resulting from the Japan bribe and other recent poor monetary policy decisions is going to take some time to work its way through to the average consumer AND the numbers are manipulated enough that they will show cause for a rate cut. Of course this will only cause more inflation in the future.

The fiat economies are getting weaker by the day. Citizens will get tired of having their efforts drained by inflation and there will be a change. I only hope it’s peaceful.
