Yesterday I repurposed an old kindle as ebook reader:

- deregister device with Amazon

- convert ebook to AWZ3 and sideload directly to USB-connected kindle via Calibre application.

Super easy. Really quick. And the joy of reading books anywhere sans pesky smartphone distractions.
