Looking cool. What is the small device in the middle with the open circuit board?

I call it a 'bug' .. A little 6 oscillator light sensitive device that fits on the back of a 9 volt battery. I designed and built a few in 2012. Thanks for asking!

I tried to find it to no avail but I do know the basic idea came from the Hex Oscillator build in this book. Pretty easy to find the PDF online.
