I’ve definitely gotten some pushback for my take on BIP-444.

But I still haven’t gotten any answers to two basic questions:

1. Who will monitor the blockchain?

2. Who decides when action is needed?

1. Node operators, individually.

2. Node operators, individually.

It's a proposal that will simply result in a network split if and when node operators decide to enact it.
