Whats datum?
Datum is software recently released by the guys at nostr:nprofile1qqsq9k04vahllseell55m74n3047y88pzlr0z5yany32st29fapqmgsppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyv9kh2uewd9hj7qgawaehxw309ahx7um5wghxy6t5vdhkjmn9wgh8xmmrd9skctc87ckyu that allows you to construct your own block templates from the transactions in your own node's mempool, but still receive pool rewards. It helps mining be MUCH more decentralized if more pools implement it.
How is it going so far? I’ve been downloading for 5 days. Can’t wait to run Datum and Knots.
Great! No issues so far after initial setup. It definitely makes me feel more involved, since I now go and check to see if it happened to be my miner tjat found the block whenever a new Datum block is found.
That’s good to hear. I’m a little skeptical of Knots. The download is taking forever.
That sounds so cool. Is there a spot to input your own header or message so that it is engraved on the chain when your miner hits the block?
