Imagine feeling entitled to be given money just because it's a feature on nostr. How about getting a money making job instead?

Yeah… unfortunately shitty memes are not worth $1
I like many of the memes. But just in the sense that I 'like' them with my default zap amount that I use instead of a thumb up reaction. I just wouldn't expect a market that has never existed to magically appear around them without putting in whatever work is necessary to create the market (if it is even possible). Maybe you have to sell shirts with your creations on them. Whatever.
You sometimes have to apply your skills to something else that people are willing to pay for. But blaming market participants for your shortcomings is a bizarre position to take. That's all my point was. It isn't personal against anyone's work.
It is like saying people are cowards because they do not buy your stuff when you also give it out for free and demand an egregious price
Fair enough viewpoint. In fact, all of the content creators I pay monthly started as great free content. I pay for their subscription content because of that. Although, I would be willing to zap the free stuff too if it were an option on the platforms my favorite creators use. Nostr is still somewhat unique that way.
I can't. I'm not saying Nostr can't be someone's job. I encourage it! But I don't give content creators money (and I do pay my favorites) hoping they'll create something I like. I pay them because they already have and I want them to continue doing so. I never thought this would be a controversial viewpoint. I've never known anyone who buys products just for the sake of giving its creator money. That's charity, not trade.
