This is the point of view that many want to avoid, but it is essential to draw this conclusion.
If governments continue down this path, all the companies whose product is a bitcoin or nostr (or any other open protocol) client will either KYC their users or they'll turn to dust, there's no way it'll happen any other way, unless these companies open their headquarters in countries that allow them to operate without KYC their users, which there are fewer and fewer of, that’s what probability will happen!
Burocracy and regulamentations are incompatible with open protocols!
Sooner or later if you have a registed company that runs open protocols you will have to KYC your users!
It doesn’t matter if it is a Nostr client or a Bitcoin client, if it has a company behind it, that’s the weak point that governments will pressure!
