I think race is more than skin color. Skin color is determined by UV intensity and folic acid. UV destroys folic acid in human blood, as it turns out, folic acid is critical to successful pregnancy and birth. High intensity UV equals higher melanin in the skin to protect the folic acid, darker skin equals a reproductive advantage in high UV areas. In low UV areas dark skin equals inadequate production of vitamin D and early death. It’s a trade off. Inuit peoples have the best of both worlds, dark skin for folic acid and no problems with vitamin D because of their vitamin D rich diet. It’s all much simpler than human culture wants to admit. Without culture, we’re all just animals trying to survive. Behave people, or go live in a cave and eat the weak like every other animal does.
