It went away. Took a while. Its like it wanted the new spammer to get one more through.
Today's new spam attack is sending pics and video of hardcore gay porn.
Seems to be filtered out for now.

True... Is it an attempt to get people to stop using certain relays? Is there anything to be gained by causing people to stop using a relay?
They replies I am getting all come from nos.lol
I was also seeing them on Damus & primal relays. I've retreated behind the WoT wall now π

We really need a way to block relays.
Amethyst doesn't connect to random relays,.so all people need to do is to remove nos.lol
I donβt have that one but for some reason they still show up.
i think in the long run we need to move to something like requiring pow for new posts of new users or the npubs themselves. the attacker is using multiple IPs. @mazin 's purgatory type of structure may also work
For now you can just block posts with lain.la which is the media server the attacker is using.
