Yes everyone is going to hard fork their nodes to the CBDC version of bitcoin then the free market will choose the CBDC bitcoin over the original bitcoin

False equivalence. You don’t seem to trust the free market to make the right choice. If that’s the case then all currencies are doomed to fail.

Depends how you define a failed currency. Gold failed as a medium of exchange but is okay as a store of value. But for the most part they all failed that’s correct.
