When I see stuff like this nowadays my only thought is:

Stop f***ng about in other peoples lives and get a proper job ๐Ÿ˜‚

Okay, but lowering age is fucking about less, right?

My view, stop tinkering with diversity metrics and leave the people alone doing the job so they can get on with the job.

This message does not translate to the current Bitcoin Core debate ๐Ÿ˜‚

Future proof trains with Quantum AI buffet cars please.

Actually, just bring back buffet cars. The country used to run on booze and terrible sandwiches. Maybe thatโ€™s where we went wrong?

I thought I was discussing politicians, not trains ๐Ÿ˜‚

You got derailedโ€ฆ

Diversity metrics? The screenshot is reducing train driver age??

We agree, yet somehow you think we disagree ๐Ÿค”

I'm even more confused now.

But it's good to agree. ๐Ÿ‘

Yes, it is ๐Ÿ‘

Age, gender, ethnicity are all diversity discussions.

If an old guy is better at driving a train than a young guy, you shouldn't give the young guy the job just because he's young.

If you don't need train drivers in the future, which is likely, you shouldn't be training young guys to drive trains, because they will be unemployable once they qualify.

We will need a small number of young train drivers to take over from the old fockers like me, once the boomers above us retire.

I am authorised to speak on this subject having driven an old train ๐Ÿ˜‚

Lowering age limits doesn't do away with meritocracy. I don't know if this lowering came with the caveats you mentioned though.

So the point I was originally making was my negative view of politicians poking their nose into other peopleโ€™s affairs.

Iโ€™ll be honest, I wasnโ€™t ready for, or expecting, a discussion on diversity ๐Ÿ˜‚

Which I agree with, but you threw me off with a bad example.

Sorry ๐Ÿซ‚

The unintended consequences of ill considered examples ๐Ÿ˜‚

Man of many skillsets.

It's a safe bet that this will go wrong. as always when governments "help"
