What happens if someone breaks in middle of the night and puts a gun to your head?

Multi sig 3 of 5 in different locations home only containing one 🔑 . Another hardware wallet as your checking account. Your multi sig is your life savings so no home invasion can fuck you. But for beginners crawl before you walk. Over complicated setups can also screw you in the end if you don’t know what you are doing.

The way I think of 2 of 3 is that it’s a good multisig quorum for a single city. 3 of 5 is good for wider geographic distribution.
