What country would you say is leading the world right now?

Pick the test country to live in and prosper?

that would all depend on what defines "leading" for you....

I’m a pilot and adventurer. Plus I am now homesteading.

For me what country has the best Private pilot freedom? (Hint nobody is close). In fact most of Europe, S America, and even Asia now come to the us to get primary flight training because it is too restrictive any where else.

WRT out door adventure that can be debated US is good but most of the bulkan countries compete well. Switzerland and EU are ok with permits and expensive.

S America is kinda ok but a bit dangerous.

Homesteading well that is an America thing

2A that is US only, even skeet shooting is difficult or impossible out side the US.

I’m not going anywhere, no one offers the freedom I experience here.

What is your definition of leading?

"Leading" would be defined differently for me. More along the lines of health, life expectancy, infant morality, crime (USA), literacy, employment, housing, all of which America is lacking by far compared to most second world nations.

South America would have to be the top adventure region for me but the crime causes hesitation I agree. Balkans top the USA by far, but Slovakia tops the Balkans. EU is a joke lol.

Here is one of the local trap and skeet clubs here in the city i used to live in years ago before going rural, (not the USA as much as you guys want it to be): https://titsc.ca/

Homesteading? Not just for United Statesians....Eastern Europeans take it to a level that Untied Statesians can only fathom.....by far... Canadians also get quite more remote and self sufficient than Muricans.

I've already travelled the world, lived in 7 different countries for years, and have settled in a remote location, where my backyard eases onto 200 acres of farmland, nearest SMALL highway is about 30 miles away.

Pick up truck, Chickens, eggs, veggies and more!

I wasn't asking you to go anywhere, its good that you are happy where you are! Just don't think the rest of the world have it any worse than you ;)

American exceptionalism is quite a laughing matter when you leave Uncle Sam's back yard and experience the real world πŸ˜ƒ

I will completely stand corrected on the homesteading thing. U.S. has a ways to catch up.

It’s good to know that there are definitely other places in the world that offer levels of freedom and enjoyment.

I will completely concur that the US could do much better on health as well as education and in certain parts of the US personal safety is merely an illusion and I understand that.

One of my primary motivations to leave the big city and go homesteading is exactly the health benefit.

we are on the same page with that for sure!

both physical and mental health.

Whenever I go back to the city to (a few times a year to do some errands), I cant wait to get back home fast enough and tend to my garden and enjoy the wide open air.

That's a false dichotomy. The answer is clearly China (Admittedly, i thought it'd take them a decade or two longer), I certainly wouldn't want to live there, though. Equally, 'Merica.
