because they all disappear after a few months

Its costing me $500 a month to maintain a server on damus’ bootstrap relay list, any relay I add to it ends up going away, probably because they cant handle the costs and traffic

I shudder to even think about the hardware requirements to handle that much traffic.

Interesting. Thanks for the insight.

What if there were a simple onboarding flow that took the user to a screen where they could select new relays that aren’t part of the bootstrap set?

My idea for this was to just have a url handler so anyone could onboard damus users into some specific relay set. Would be really good for companies onboarding their employees, or plebs onboarding their friends onto their friend relays.

Often what I do when onboarding a friend is offer to sponsor their first few paid relays. If that could be done in a way where they don’t have to manually enter them, it would speed up the whole process.
