We did that 4yrs ago only at 2.99%.
House will hopefully be paid for at renewal time though. If we have to renew, it will only be for about a year. I hate the thought of giving the bank hundreds of thousands of dollars in interest payments.
It might be better than giving them hundreds of thousands of dollars before they get debased further
