He is being tresspassed, but he is refusing to leave. You don't just get to walk into a building uninvited and claim "self defense" when they try to get you to leave.
Looks to me like he's at a public event. Regardless, if he didn't touch anyone, and others touched him, he absolutely has a right to defend himself - lethally. And nothing else matters in the slightest. Not what he said, not what he looks like, nothing.
