I never asked my husband about Roman Empire and yet I know what Lorica hamata and segmentata is well enough to draw and explain them.

Gladiatorial games were used mostly to bolster the Emperor’s public image. The games (as far as I know) did not last more than a month.

But it’s true that they had frequent grain shortages. The Roman Empire could not generate enough revenue to satisfy their expenses unless they taxed the senators (happened) or the common people (also happened). One of their main sources of revenue was plundering other territories in conquest.

Oh, yeah, I think about a large amount of different triangles every day.
