These advertisements size and shape is peak fiat clown world on full display.
The grocer updates to a more fiat version of trolley the advertising agency can not justify creating a newer size advert insert for the sake of one grocer changing up is trolley size on them. Advert revenue is based on having 2 ads per trolley ( 2 signs front of trolley and child seat) inflation running so hot advert companies can't take the hit of NOT placing the ads. Can't afford to make new sign size.
So they just put this ridiculously overwhelming gargantuan ad frame on the cart anyway pretty much making it impossible for you to place anything long ways over the top of the cold seat area, plus it just looks bonkers.
