Nonprofits are an attempt to demonize capitalism by making the pursuit of profit seem tawdry.

I know people sure puff their chest out when talking about "starting my first non-profit...blah blah blah..." They're getting something for doing it. Doing something for profit is far more honest and transparent.

and demonizing capitalism is usually the whole mission of most of them, and usually they are founded by bankster money and fed a constant stream of support to continue their corruption

associations are not really the same as non profits though they throw them in the same basket, and religions are a type of association

we should form an association, not a corporation

yes we want to make money but affinity and shared purpose is why we work together

No, I am part of a software company.

A group of people pursuing a shared purpose is what a company is. And a company should add enough value to the market that it can extract some of that value as profits, while leaving the market larger than when they entered it. Or it should go away.

This is capitalism and it is good.

exactly, so finding ways to make contracts with other businesses to provide business infrastructure services is the play that makes most sense for a project like GitCitadel

for software companies and software developers (since an enterprise starts with a person)

i'm a big fan of independent contractors though, rather than employees, there is a smell of slavery about employment, and excessive oversight that is not suited especially to our industry

They use tax breaks to preach this sort of commie balderdash and skew the market toward NGOs and away from honest businessmen, in the process.

Nobody is stopping you from donating your profits to charity or reinvesting them, or simply tossing your wallet in the ocean, if you hate money so much.

The amount of inefficiency and political corruption NGOs have brought to the marketplace is simply astounding.

Nah, they’re just a tax avoidance scam.

That, too.

Said nobody ever.

El capitalismo es de origen calvinista, por lo tanto herético y nació demonizado, témome.

Cry harder.

capitalism was born out of the fallout of the Enclosure Acts in England

the cities were flooded with heathens (commoners) and the "capitalists" put them to work and applying new theories about production lines to lower the cost of production so all of the commoners could have shoes and working WCs and all this kind of thing

previous to the act of the oligarchs to claim ownership and send armies out to drive all the dirty roaming herders off the nice meadows that the princes and earls wanted to themselves there was no need for this, these people were just living hunter gatherer herder lifestyles

so it was a huge cultural problem instigated by the wealthy titled oligarchs that led to a big problem

the great fire of london was one consequence of this, and another was the inception of capitalism, and it was a solution for the POOR to clothes and equip themselves for urban life

and the people who did it were the most lowly of the oligarchs, and this entire WORD capitalism was a slur against these barely landed gentry who turned their property to the use of production for higher efficiency

anyway, ultimately it's got nothing to do with any particular brand of christianity, the calvinists just created a doctrine to bring all those herders into their anglican churches to indoctninate them, they were just exploiting the poor people, unlike the capitalists, who gave them the ability to earn some coins by making stuff their peers could afford

anticapitalism is a mental disease of the megalomaniac privileged ruling classes
