“I don’t trust myself.” will be the most recurring response.

Which cuts to the core issue of if you can’t trust yourself who are you outsourcing that too?

Most of those respondents wouldn’t know that by default it’s 🏛️🏢🏦

It's not that I don't trust myself...

I just hope I don't fk it up! haha

Practice. Practice. ⚡️🧡🫂💜🤙

The most important peice of advice I have received is create a wallet. Delete it, reload it using your pass phrase.

Most likely if you reset a wallet, or open it on your brand new phone. You will have confidence and do it. Rather than panicking and messing it all up

fuck it up on a small scale with insignificant amounts. then your allocation can grow with learning and practice on a low pref time horizon

Oh, I've had my share of fk ups.

ie. the .26 BTC I'll never get back from Celsius

I've got 99% of my BTC cold.

Some has been self custody for 4+yrs.

I've never consolidated my hundreds of UTXOs which gives me a touch of anxiety.

Ouch. Some lessons are learned beat the hard way I guess 😅.

Check out #sparrow wallet for #utxo management and #[6] has a pod and/or blog talking about it as well.

Thanks for the heads up on that.

I'll try to dig that @Odell podcast out.

I remember being scared.

Of holding my keys, of fucking it up of getting "hacked" and of sending transactions to the wrong addresses.

Now I literally send coins around and generate addresses like they're halloween candy.

Be brave anon, bitcoin

It’s intimidation at first to take self custody.

But I’d be more scared of trusting someone else to hold my sats.

Learn self custody & privacy best practices, nostriches.

Adding trust into the equation makes trust-less money weaker.
