... and while btc is one of the tools we use to accomplish that goal, we don't refuse vendors who accept cash or other methods of payment. Ideally, I'd be onboarding every one of them to btc but it's hard enough just to attract any to sign up and show up (and it's a free event, we don't even charge them a fee for a space, like every other market in our area does). However, we are in a very statist economy over here and all of the other markets require you to give them your business registration info or other thinks such as your Instagram or Facebook page, and charge two to 3 digit event fees... so it's slow going. And a lot of people starting new small businesses here think they all have to get business licenses, etc. just to sell a few t-shirts or some crafts or food they made, and we're saying, "nah" to all that.
The only limitation we have currently is that our venue is a private business belonging to one of our members, and if gets bigger we have to do it somewhere else, which isn't a bad thing, but we want to avoid the prying eyes and ears of the State.
