And on that meme let me put contrarian thesis.
If government or actually any bad actor (including your neighbour) knows you have something incommon with that Bitcoin thing then when desperate he will come to you and threaten to hurt those very people you care the most and wish to protect, to force you to give him bitcoin. And you will do this.
Lay low. Keep calm. Care about opsec. Paranoid adveserial thinking is a virtue.
And then maybe he or they will leave and never return but … the rest of the scenarios may go through the cases like
- ok, but where is the rest? I do not believe you.
- We’ll be back.
- Another bad actor shows up.
Etc
HODLers are not secure in the current and future world. Selfcustody + good opsec may reduce the risk. When running from the wolves you do not need to be the fastest runner. Do not be the slowest one.
