I want to give a shout out to nostr:npub1j8y6tcdfw3q3f3h794s6un0gyc5742s0k5h5s2yqj0r70cpklqeqjavrvg and nostr:npub14kw5ygpl6fyqagh9cnrytyaqyacg46lzkq42vz7hk8txdk49kzxs04j7y0 After listening to Friday’s episode, I was able to get my online instance of nostr:npub155m2k8ml8sqn8w4dhh689vdv0t2twa8dgvkpnzfggxf4wfughjsq2cdcvg accepting lightning payments by connecting it to my nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm account. I don’t think this option is very well known, but it enables anyone to spin up an online store front within a few hours. While self sovereignty is the goal, more technical knowledge is needed to setup your own Node and then provide safe access to it from the outside.

This is what I was trying to achieve the other day but found it really annoying so I downloaded a local copy which I need to try and play with now - I might have to listen in on this pod if it helped you

Not much in the Podcast itself, just the fact that it’s possible. You can find the instructions and if you have an online instance of BTCPay Server running, it’s pretty straightforward to connect. At least that what I found. Instructions can be found here

Cheers, that was simpler than the guide I tried the other day...or I'm less tired - once I've finished downloading my new node and Lightning software (and Nostr relay) I'll install my own copy of BTCpay and self host that too - in the meantime this hosted one is good to play with

Same here…ultimate goal is to self sovereign on my node, but this will allow me to use it in the mean time so I can take my time🤙🏻
