I still don't feel safe about jumping into their ecosystem. Feels like one point of failure...but I have learn about passkeys.
I've thought about that as well. However, I'd rather trust one company and its services that has a great reputation rather than trust multiple companies. You can also use multiple accounts for Protons services. For example, one for email and one for their VPN
Well we don't have to search a lot to find an example of company that had this "all in one" model going down : SKIFF. I opened accounts with then and boom they're gone. Such companies might be the first to get "pressed" by states to comply as well. I have an account with Proton but I also have my safety set up - disroot + thunderbird+mullvad.
