I got tired of the spam and unsolciited emails so I decided to only accept PGP encrypted emails. I setup a filter that if the message incoming is not encrypted then deletes it and sends an auto-reply that tells people I only accept encrypted emails and how to get my public key and install PGP (if needed). Got the domain encryptonly.com for this email address. Proof-of-PGP is my new way to use email. Will do writeup on how to set this if would help anyone.

I feel like pgp gets overlooked a lot. All of my emails are pgp, and all of my git commits are signed with my signature.

With clients like Mailvelope is way more user friendly than use to be.

I use proton, and use thunderbird for my gmail with pgp. Also have flowcrypt get up as a plugin for another account.

There are tons of convenient ways to use pgp now.

I still use mutt locally, but have proton for my companie email. 🤙

Yes. I think having silos for different parts of your life is also an overlooked and simple way to improve overall security all by itself.

I’ve never self hosted email. Heard a lot of bad about blacklists, etc. But that may change someday if things ever get too hairy.
