Has anyone tried a goTenna mesh?
Discussion
At short distance.
Would love to try in outdoors - record I saw was clear line of sight 100 km.
Very cool!😎 I’ve read the same. It’s very interesting to me.
Yes. Have several. They're great! Too bad the co. is only for commercial devices now (govt. contracts, etc). Haven't been available for years. Software isn't supported anymore.
Use Meshtastic instead
I figured they were done for. Maybe there’s still a chance. They’ve not entirely announced completely discontinuing the smaller mesh devices.
I do hope they bring it back; V2 or something. We need more P2P devices & protocols like this.
Yes indeed.

Don’t even bother , just go for opensource mesh tech https://meshtastic.org/
Use something like cjdns, yggdrasil, Batman-ADV etc.
Look into freifunk.
Dont use closed source tech
No but #Meshtastic has a really great community.
A quite good mesh network is aredn
Here is a video too...

You can find more...
I suggest aredn because you can transfer bigger amount of data in long distances. Other solutions which relie on LORA etc can't do that. Of course it could be pain to set it up and can be quite expensive, but...
Yep. It’s ok… been useful for my solo bike trips.
Don’t like the mobile app though. It leaks a lot. Friends in sec spaces like the idea but won’t play in uncontrolled spaces
