Fedimint is both a custodial bitcoin protocol AND a self-custodial ecash protocol. All interoperable over lightning.

And can be run without ecash, bitcoin or lightning.

How far are we from mainstream tools for Fedimint?

Id really like to get a Fedimint going for the meetup groups in our area where the organizers are the key holders, but it's gonna need to be accessible to Bitcoiners with a wide range of experience.

Looking forward to eventually going down the Fedimint rabbit hole 🔥

StartOS bundling works but is not complete. Hoping to finish it soon with bare minimum.

With Mutiny hostable there as well you can have a guardian node and or client. One final but more complex piece will be LN gateway om StartOS.
