You know a good alternative? I would love to move my server away from them.
I honestly have no idea. From my privacy research I found out Cloudflare is really unethical and so many websites use them.
Maybe some private alternatives here?
Yea, its the giant of the DNS resolver space.
I was hoping Quad9 may host DNS entries but it doesn't look like they do yet.
Ill look through this at some point to see if any are good. For now, https and authorization helps keep cloudflare from snooping too much, I hope.
That what I keep asking every time thereās a rant on this topic. Until thereās another option that offers dns, ddos protection, CDN, streaming, storage, etc at competitive pricesā¦ Iām not moving. Thereās no incentive to bankrupt myself nor is there any moral served.
If you can't do it right, dont do it at all is an option. Not saying to take this advice, but often if something cant be ethically done, it should be avoided.
