The theory that war is a racket has more evidence than any other theory. I have a hard time accepting it wholeheartedly. I thought great-power politics mattered at least somewhat, that people were trying to position the power of their own country against the power of others. But given the course of events I think at least from the US side war is just a way to launder money. I can't explain the US actions any other way, other than insanity, or that there are very significant things that are being kept secret from the public. So I'm coming around to that theory.

Stupidity is by far the best approach if one desires to hide malintent. Helped by the media, of course, the consumers of "news" will sooner or later start thinking that the politicians/agenrs of the "other party" are all idiots. This will help them cope with all the damage these organizations are inflicting on communities. It pacifies dissent, very effective tool for the controllers.
