Gotta make nostr sustainable somehow .. and premium features are a great way.
You are right, someone will offer it for free and it’s great that people can access it regardless. I think the point here is to provide value and to be able to do this full time without shutting down and I think enough people will recognize that.
Even if I wanted to sub, I can't. x) No more channels, poor Fishcake had it rough with LND and most to all of his channels went kaputt; including mine.
I do understand that people have to make money somehow, but I am not sure if the "as a service"/subscription model is the best option.
That said, I only got up like 20 minutes ago (GM!) so trying to put together a proper argument would be futile... xD
Still... I'd rather the project be openly available with a few specific features being locked instead - or offer people to host it themselves if they really wanted to use it (which i would do in an absolute heartbeat).
