You can decide on multiple ways to earn more, so you can fit it to your personality. You can aim for

2️⃣ company change for 20%+ raise.

3️⃣ a #sidehustle

The cool part is, you can do all at the same time. Or prepare for the promotion, and if company is not willing, you still go for a company change. Also I found that companies have more budget to hire new people than keeping the old ones. Most probably not true for all companies.
