The big problem is that the entire #Bitcoin space still believes CC is open source because "the damage has been done" in terms of cooption.

Now, folks who care about open source (like the Open Source Initiative) have to do damage control because the definition matters.

I doubt the cooption was intentional or not, but that doesn't mean that CC and Umbrel shouldn't receive scrutiny from #Bitcoin which has largely succeeded off the backs of open source development.
