Replying to Avatar saunter

BOLT12 is quite complicated to implement and most wallets do not support them so you wouldn't be able to receive sats with it

It's on the roadmap, just not yet

Understood, but on the Nostr level it just means relaying a slightly different address string, right? Seems simple, why do Nostr clients care about the Zap address format?

It's a question for Nostr clients I guess. But I suppose they do not offer it yet because most users would not receive zaps at all then

Something I would see as the choice and responsibility of the user rather than the client. But thanks for clarifying.
