I think my computer is too old for an IDE. Crap doesn't install.

Just gonna use a text editor.

Used to use emacs, but that has gotten huuge.

(Neo)vim It's just everything people need on a computer. I guess that with an LSP server for the languages you use that will be as good as gold

Isn't there geany already. It has to be there. Geany is a simple yet useful IDE. You probably already have it

There are others too that can run etc.

As for text editor (with gui), just in case, featherpad is an interesting one, because if you tick the arrows you have numbered lines. But that is all with featherpad...

Gonna be another that says neovim!

Someone wrote a neovim Nostr client.

That seems very unlikely, though, especially if you can run a modern Linux kernel.

If it's a ram limitation, find a stick or two of used ram and jam it in.
