I've been very curious on the Amish lifestyle for a long time now , I've tried a lot of their recipes - pies, butter (by those who leave or who live by), read Amish related stories on Rumpspriga, Englisher etc , and all Hallmark movies

The last two lines - hilarious đŸ˜‚

Yea totally amazing these guys. On our family farm we have had Amish build my dad’s mining building, mom’s greenhouse and then a friggin wooden bridge you can drive a car over.

Yea, I can’t imagine live without access to modern technology, not even a fridge but they have such fine skills in everything they make that’s core and authentic - and it’s robust and incredible.

they do well and are on it but some things bizarre

Lol. I think Amish by culture is a very close society without access to electricity, modern vehicles and communication - hence not often easy to get information. Everything that’s written is by someone visiting them or some who left or informations like this that’s passed on.

Yah we have path in :) in midmo

Trying to get the Collins on Nostr. Was trying to find a clip for you to show you that they have insider research from them, but alas. You can listen to their audio book "Pragmatist guide to crafting a religion". They have a podcast on substack but you can wait for it to come out on fountain to zap em there. What would you like to know about the Amish?

nostr:npub1awupfd2es6uaaqm6v4pwrcxk9s0mw64u55k0lmr22wgvt5zrp8vsv4547s can you offer any sources or specific things for these peeps interested in the value Amish can bring to their world? I already mention your book on crafting religion.
