When someone has the cold or flu we all grasp that shit happens. We don't get mad at them unless they are a prick about it. We all see that the best way to deal with the additional needs they have is voluntary kindness by the people around them. Most people help without a second thought.

Make it a long term disability or a mental illness and suddenly half of the country is mad as hell at the victim for the audacity to be sick. The other half suddenly feels that the only way society could possibly deal with the sick persons added needs is by using violence against the healthy.

Some people are desperate to play politics over everything. It is gross of both sides to try to use another person's illness to score political points.

Protracted illness animosity is an evolutionary compulsion. Protect the tribe with minor illness. Protracted illness compromises the tribe. It's not logical, it's instinctual.

How the dead are treated, ritual burial vs abandoned, is used as a measure of intelligence and civilization. Healed major wounds such as broken femurs are also used Archeologically to identify civilized vs uncivilized societies.

Not everyone needed to be a perfect olympic athlete to contribute to the tribe then and it isn't true now either.

Can we live up to the same standards of civilized that we set for ancient skeletons that we dig up?

I am hopeful that we can but fiat money is a massive decivilizing force.

I was just annoyed at seeing people get mad at people for things they couldn't help. I had no intention of making it about that, but truth is truth. Fiat drains the compassion right out of you.

I suspect that if all taxes and inflation theft went away tomorrow charities wouldn't be able to handle the sudden donation influx. Walmart would be out of flatscreens and beats headphones too. Both a better use of the money than bombs.
