Honestly I believe we live in a simulation due to the split experiment. But the programmer could totally be Jesus or something. I mainly want community for my kids.

You just made me think of one of my best friends who lives in LA. He's an atheist (son of a protestant pastor, don't ask me what flavor, I get lost in all that) and his (Japanese) wife a Methodist. So he actually takes his kid "to church" every Sunday, for the same exact reason you just mentioned -- so the kid has a "community". Because "going to church" apparently involves playing basketball, baseball, doing stuff with other kids...
To me, as a European, taken at face value, all this is extremely bizarre. But I spend a lot of time with Americans and in the US, so I have come to understand the lifestyle and I wouldn't even think of faulting my friend for being "inconsistent" or anything like that.
