All of my holidays and vacations are paid. Always have been. WTF is this about?

Americans, also: I work a trade, I have a large house, savings, two kids in college, world class health care, healthy environment, guns, a reasonable tax rate. My town is flooded by people who risked everything to come here and they love my town as much as I do.
